Tapestry of My Heart
… shapes and colors
blended together –
weaving in and around each other
like golden thread on a loom of time
defining this pattern as uniquely mine
vibrant shreds of yellow and reds
blended with the new of green and blue
add some space and then a trace
of dark remnants of rugged hues…
for without the darker duller shades
the others’ brightness would surely fade
now weave throughout a purple thread
of grace and love
and one can start…
to see within this Masterpiece
a Tapestry of my heart.

I have enjoyed DeeDee’s music for decades. Her depth and diversity astound me. But it is the soul with which she shares her gifts that sets it apart from other music. Listening is always a pleasure, whatever your mood. - Anne P.
On reviewing DeeDee’s album In The Still Of Winter, my approach was to sit, relax and listen with eyes closed a few times to absorb the essence and spirit of the music. It was a rewarding experience. DeeDee’s beautiful hammered dulcimer resounds brightly. I felt as if I was transported along a path bathed with light and contentment.

DeeDee's CD "From the Inside ... Looking Out" is absolutely amazing. She plays so many things and with such passion as well as expertise. The vocals are also incredible. - Carol F.
I listened to your CD "From the Inside Looking Out" upon returning home from KMW... What lovely arrangements and compositions! The title of the album expresses the mood of your selections perfectly, both the contemplative and reflective and the warm and lively… just the sort of things I like! I love the magical sounds of the hammered dulcimer, so haunting and frosty, and you have a sensitive touch on the instrument. It must have been a delight to share what I have termed "fam jams" with your loved ones in crafting your harmonies... Thank you for sharing your music with me (and with everyone at KMW, too, at the concert!). - Jessica C.
I just finished a week of classes with DeeDee and she taught me in a week what I had not learned in six months! A solid musician, well grounded in theory, but with a style that makes learning from her just delightful! - Beckie H.
